2. Promotion activities

1) |
Holding a photography contest for the beech forest: to call for the photographs
of the town’s beech trees and decide winners of the contest. The works
would be exhibited in the Center’s gallery. |

Holding nature observation events: to hold regular observation gatherings in the forest and near the waterside. |
3) |
Publication of nature observation guide books: to edit and publish the flora, fauna, and mountain guide books to inform the town’s people and visitors. |

Support and guidance for integrated study: to advise and provide materials
for integrated studies of primary schools and junior high schools. |

Training the authorized guides and instructors: to hold workshops that instruct the guides on the preparation and knowledge needed about nature and rescue operations for walking in the forests and climbing the mountains. |

Establishment and training of “The Children’s Beech Club”: to establish “The Children’s Beech Club,” which is geared toward students in both primary and junior high schools and holds timely observation and presentation events. |

Creation of guidelines for Tadami’s nature experience: to create a brochure for the instructors and tourists that instructs them on the proper behavior to be adopted while viewing the nature of Tadami. |

Creation of a guidance program for nature experiences: to create and distribute the menu and curriculum of nature experience activities for outdoor learning and integrated study. |
3. Research activities

Publication of The Beech Center bulletin: to edit and publish a bulletin
that includes research reports, papers, materials on beech trees, and the
activity report on the Center. |
2) |
Implementation of honoring project of academic papers: a national call for academic papers on beech forests and review to honor the winner. |

Conduct academic research: to accordingly conduct the natural environmental academic research subject to plants, fishes, amphibians, reptiles, insects, and mammals. |

Collection and release of materials and papers: to collect materials and papers on beech forests and the natural environment, and make them available for visitors’ reference. |
5) |
Creation of the new nature discovery courses: to select and specify the courses by purpose, such as beech forest walking, flower observation, and waterside forest observation. |

Research and publication of cultural resources: to research the town’s various cultural resources such as geography, folklore, history, and culture, and publish them as information available to visitors. |
